NATIONAL COLLEGIATE SALES COMPETITION INSTITUTES NEW POLICY FOR COMPETING UNIVERSITIES
We greatly appreciate the continued interest and participation of the many elite sales programs from colleges and universities around the world in the National Collegiate Sales Competition. Each of these programs, and especially the professors, are making a difference in the future of the sales profession and are making a difference in the lives of many young adults.
NCSC XV, March 1-4, 2013, has attracted a great deal of interest from industry due to the caliber of the sales candidates who have competed from the universities who have competed in recent years and the high caliber of the sales curriculum and programs at these universities. Unfortunately, the NCSC is limited by the time frame of the competition and logistics in the number of programs (63) and students (126) who are able to compete. Dr, Terry Loe says, "I wish it were not so, but here we are. With the growing number of sales programs around the country, we have come to an impasse with the competition."
The NCSC has had a number of new universities inquiring about competing and in the past organizers have had to turn away new schools. In order to allow for the growth in sales programs across the country, a policy has been developed that allows for up to 13 new participants for NCSC XV. According to Loe, "The new registration policy was developed keeping in mind that the NCSC is a 'competition' and we want to continue to improve the competition and in turn the quality of the next generation of sales candidates."
